Ascena Retail Group is comprised of 8 iconic women's fashion brands: Ann Taylor, Catherines, dressbarn, Justice, Lane Bryant, LOFT, Lou & Grey, and maurices.
This role is responsible for the audit and administration of a select listing of developers including but not limited to, computation of developer expenses, assessing of information, working with other Lease Auditors and Lease Administrators in the department. This is the front-line person for the Real Estate landlords to contact.
Desktop audit, research on and payment of all landlord CAM, TAX, INS, MA/PROMO, UTILITY billing for 400 store locations annually; including handling of developer correspondence and applicable issues. The audit results in up to $500K savings to the company per year.
Liaison with Real Estate, Legal, Finance/Accounting, Operations and Marketing departments regarding the research and criteria of lease requirements. Strong negotiation skills required. Approval limit set at a dollar amount increase of 10% per line item. Have flexibility up to 8% of total invoice over previous year. If over 10% line item cost goes to Sr. Auditor, Director or AVP.
Identification and verification of all landlords of record to ensure compliance is met.
Assist with special projects.
Overseeing and safeguarding of all lease and lease accounting files.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years in a comparable capacity; Retail experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of computer software packages: MS Office preferred, and Strong Math Skills
- Excellent Organizational Skills
