Rick Burke is President of Lease Administration Solutions, LLC, a company founded over 20 years ago that offers a wide range of professional lease management services such as lease administration, lease auditing, lease abstracting, in-house training for both lease administration and lease auditing, and lease administration systems implementation. As part of Lease Administration Solutions, LLC, Mr. Burke has overseen many large auditing, abstracting and lease administration projects.

Prior to founding Lease Administration Solutions, LLC., Mr. Burke was Director of Lease Administration for Beacon Properties Corporation, Boston MA, a landlord and developer with a portfolio of 124 offices, retail and mixed-use buildings with over 2,100 tenants nationwide. While there, he was responsible for developing and designing the lease administration department. Mr. Burke also worked for retailer Marshalls Inc. for 7 years with responsibilities within the Real Estate and Finance Departments. During this time, he was Manager of Lease Auditing and developed a lease audit department that performed over 500 lease-related audits, negotiating and collecting over 3 million dollars in landlord overcharges. In addition, Mr. Burke was Manager of Lease Accounting at Marshall’s where he was responsible for the review and payments of all occupancy expenses. Mr. Burke was also responsible for creating the lease audit function and audit collection process for The Marmaxx Group (TJX Cos.), the combination of TJ Maxx and Marshall’s totaling 1,100 stores.

Mr. Burke has written and has been quoted in many articles for national magazines and newsletters regarding lease administration, lease auditing and lease abstracting, and he is frequently asked to speak on these subjects. He is involved with such organizations as the National Retail Tenants Association, CoreNet, and the ICSC. Mr. Burke is a charter member of the National Retail Tenants Association and has served on its Curriculum Committee for 18 years and has been a Board member twice. He has also been an instructor on lease administration-related classes at Boston University. He has degrees in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona and an MBA from Suffolk University, Boston MA. He lives in Marblehead MA with his wife Lucie and three children, Skyler, Alex, Eva, and dog Django.
