LA-4, Negotiation: Problems, Pitfalls and Potential Resolutions

This intermediate presentation will focus on preparing attendees to successfully negotiate while at the same time presenting and discussing alternatives and resolutions for those situations where negotiations are progressing unsuccessfully. Further, this presentation will address tactics to avoid in order to make the negotiation more successful. Two seasoned attorneys will review various skills, techniques, and tactics they use during their own negotiations and will also present a mock negotiation modeling these skills, techniques, and tactics. Attendees will be involved in the session and have opportunities to ask questions about the mock negotiations to better understand the ins and outs of the negotiation process.
