The Dress Barn, Inc., Suffern, NY Lease Auditor (Posted on: February 15, 2010) Dress Barn, Inc. (NASDAQ - DBRN), is a leading national specialty apparel retailer offering quality casual and career women’s fashion apparel at value prices through its dressbarn and maurices brands and tween girls’ fashion apparel through its Justice brand. As of January 8, 2010, the Company operated 837 dressbarn stores in 47 states, 741 maurices stores in 44 states, and 906 Justice stores in 45 states and Puerto Rico.
The Lease Auditor reports directly to the Manager, Lease Administration. Responsibilities include the audit and administration of a select listing of developers including, but not limited to, computation of developer expenses, assessing of information, working with other Lease Auditors and Lease Administrators in the department.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Desktop audit and research on all landlord CAM, Tax, Ins, Merchants billing
2. Handling of developer correspondence and applicable issues
3. Liaison with real estate, legal, accounting and marketing departments regarding
the research and criteria of lease requirements
4. Responsible to produce the following reports monthly/weekly/quarterly:
Occupancy by developer
Advertising
Recap fiscal year
Ad-hoc upon request
5. Assist in special projects
6. Handle all applicable telephone inquiries regarding existing leases
7. Overseeing and safeguarding of all lease and lease accounting files
8. Identification and verification of all landlords of record
9. Perform other duties as required
10. Regular attendance and punctuality is required during core work hours
Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
Experience: 3-4 years in a comparable capacity
Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of computer and software packages,
MS Office preferred
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Effective listening skills
Good math skills
Detail orientated
