It will help participants design processes to manage workflow and completion of audits, and give practical examples for conducting the audit and tools for presenting findings. Both OC-2 & OC-3 will include hands-on examples and discussion to help improve attendees’ understanding of the materials presented. Post Commencement Lease Restructuring – A Guide to Renegotiation of Lease Provisions Course Presenter(s): Jerry King Course Track: RE-2 Course Level: I Course Cap: 0 This intermediate session is a step-by-step guide to re-opening lease negotiations after the lease is signed. Topics will include how to identify opportunities that occur after a lease is executed, recognizing potential landlord needs that can be leveraged to obtain concessions and how to evaluate the relative positions of landlord and tenant when considering post commencement lease issues. Effective strategy techniques will be explored in detail.

Course Track: LE-3 Course Level: A Course Cap: 0 This advanced course is intended for the lawyer, paralegal, or business person involved in negotiating retail leases for relatively major tenants with some negotiating power. This session will give you more strategies for negotiating key issues in the lease and will also illustrate issues you need to consider before signing your next lease for that big box or major tenant space. Topics will include: default and remedy, tenant control issues, exclusives and prohibited uses, damage and destruction as well as lease language concerning Estoppels and SNDAs.
